OPTO Tradeshow & Marketing Design
At OPTO International Inc., I played a key role in supporting the Business Development team through the design of quarterly direct mailing campaigns and major tradeshow experiences. The mailings ranged from broad brand-focused brochures to highly targeted materials—each crafted to spark curiosity and drive engagement. My focus was on delivering visually impactful, strategically designed print pieces that communicated our capabilities and set OPTO apart in a competitive market.
For GlobalShop 2019, one of the retail industry's premier trade expos, I collaborated closely with engineers and interior designers to develop the visual identity and spatial experience of our 40'x20' booth. I designed large-scale fabric graphics, laser-cut metal wall panels, and interior signage that blended our brand with a 1920s-inspired aesthetic. The design fused Art Deco and Art Nouveau elements with angled lines from our CAD systems, resulting in a striking, speakeasy-themed booth that reflected both creativity and precision.
The booth's interior was purposefully split: one side emulated an elegant airport pop-up shop with a feminine tone, while the other showcased a bold, bar-like retail environment—demonstrating OPTO's fixture versatility. The final booth design earned the 2019 Outstanding Booth Award, underscoring the project's success in visual storytelling, brand alignment, and cross-functional collaboration.
