Connecting a Product Family Through Motion
I created two connected animated videos to introduce an internal application and its sub-application to Clinical Research Associates. Through illustration, motion, and visual storytelling, the videos translated product benefits into an approachable launch experience designed for quick understanding.
The original launch centered on an “On the Go” theme, using a takeaway coffee cup to represent access to important information from anywhere. A later teaser introduced the sub-application through a “New Day” concept, using a rising sun to symbolize clarity, momentum, and progress.

Introduce a new sub-application while maintaining a recognizable connection to the original product launch. The new video needed its own message and personality without feeling disconnected from the established campaign.
I extended the original hand-illustrated style through recurring characters, shared visual motifs, and a continued travel narrative. The rising-sun theme gave the sub-application a distinct identity, while the returning characters and plane sequence maintained continuity across the product family.

Translate the approved script into a hand-drawn storyboard, then create layered vector illustrations in Adobe Illustrator for animation.
Build scenes in After Effects, time motion to a rough voiceover, and use transitions, character movement, and moments of humor to maintain attention.
Present an initial draft, incorporate stakeholder feedback, synchronize the final voiceover, and prepare the approved video for internal publishing.
The original “On the Go” campaign established the product family's hand-illustrated style and travel narrative while emphasizing access to important information from anywhere.
The “New Day” campaign extended the established visual language with partnership-focused storytelling and a rising-sun motif representing clarity, momentum, and progress.
The paired videos use recurring characters, illustration, travel imagery, and coordinated motion to connect the two applications while giving each campaign a distinct message.
By extending the original campaign's illustration style, characters, and visual storytelling, I created continuity across two related product launches. The videos demonstrate how I use motion, clarity, and personality to make complex internal tools easier to introduce and understand.
